 HEAD OF YEAR

Post: Head of Year

Salary: Main Scale/Upper Pay Scale + TLR 1A (£8,706)

Starting Date: September 2023

Contract: Full time

Responsible to: Deputy Headteacher 

We are looking to appoint an enthusiastic and motivated Head of Year with the skills to lead on all elements of behaviour, safety and care. This will include leading a team of tutors to deliver the registration curriculum. The successful candidate will have responsibility for ensuring all the learners in their year group have excellent behaviour in lessons and around the school at all times. They will ensure that their year group has excellent attendance and punctuality and that learners show care for one another and staff. They will be relentless in ensuring excellence in all these areas.

The school is committed to promoting and safe-guarding the welfare of children and young people. The successful candidate will be subject to an enhanced DBS check and satisfactory references.

TEACHER OF MATHEMATICS

Salary: Main Scale 1 /Upper Pay Scale 3

Starting Date: 1 September 2023

Contract: Full time (Suitable for ECTs/NQTs)

Responsible to: Head of Mathematics

We are looking for an enthusiastic mathematics teacher who wants to join an excellent department. We need you to have a love of teaching and a willingness to trial new ideas and be a team player who puts the good of our students at the heart of all that you do. Applications are welcome from experienced teachers able to teach Mathematics throughout the ability range at KS3, KS4 and at KS5. Excellent support is available from a very experienced team. All students study Mathematics at Key Stage 3 and at GCSE. Mathematics is a popular A Level.

Responsible to: Head of Science

We are therefore looking for a committed, enthusiastic and hard-working colleague to join our Science department and become part of our cohesive, professional and supportive team. The department is well resourced with interactive whiteboards in large Science labs. The Science department is led by an experienced Head of Science, supported by a strong team of middle leaders. You will be both ambitious and passionate about teaching science and bringing out the best from every single one of our learners.
