BBC Bitesize Careers RoadShow

BBC Bitesize Careers comes to Harrow High
This week, our Year 7–10 students welcomed professionals from BBC Food, the Science Museum, and Bloomsbury Publishing to share their career journeys.
Hosted by popular BBC Newsround presenter Emma-Louise, the event featured an inspiring guest panel: Maya Luthera (Assistant Food Producer, BBC), Jevantte Palmer (Museum and Gallery Technician, Science Museum), and Danielle Rippingale (Senior Designer for Children’s Fiction, Bloomsbury Publishing).
The panel shared their educational paths, day-to-day responsibilities, and advice on navigating entry into their respective industries. Hearing these first-hand experiences encouraged students to reflect on their own strengths, interests, and potential next steps—opening their eyes to exciting career paths they may not have previously considered.
From apprenticeships and higher education to hands-on industry training, our students gained valuable insight into how their passions can shape their futures.
Looking to explore more future pathways? Students can research a wide range of industries and job roles on BBC Bitesize Careers.
A huge thank you to our guest speakers for inspiring the next generation!
