Free School Meal Eligibility Checks

The government rules for Free School Meals have changed. All families who receive Universal Credit are now eligible for free school meals. However, all parents/carers must have an active, verified eligibility check on file to continue to claim free school meals. Most parents/carers ran the check last term.

If you receive Universal Credit, please run the check.

What happens if you do not complete the check?

• Free meals will stop: If you have not completed the eligibility check, your child’s Free School Meals will end on 7th September 2026.

• Action required: Even if your child received free meals previously, you must submit a new check immediately to prevent any interruption.

2. Enter your basic details to run a quick, secure check.

3. Your result is instant, and the school will be updated automatically.

If you need help completing the form, please contact the school office or ask your child to pick up a paper form from the Attendance Office.
