Sixth Form Testimonials

‘My time at HHS 6th form was filled with care, support, community and in-depth learning that other 6th Forms/Colleges wouldn’t be able to provide. The one-to-one teachings in small groups as well as the availability of teachers allowed me to comfortably approach them and not feel anxious about asking any questions. All the staff are warm and always encourage you to question everything or think outside the box when learning. Not only academically but also socially, the staff allow you to challenge yourself and better yourself on a regular basis-making you question how you can develop as a person. The support system in the Sixth Form is like no other and my time here was filled with much joy and definitely a lot of growth before I moved onto the next stage of my life.’

'My time at HHS was honestly one of the best of my life, particularly my time in the 6th form. As our year group was small, it was incredibly easy to get to know everyone well, so it almost felt like a huge family sometimes. The school trips, whether they were academic or just for fun, sprinkled around throughout the years really helped with preparing us for the next step in our educational career, e.g. university or an apprenticeship. I feel like it was also a great way for us to relax, so we weren’t overloaded with work and the stress that comes with it. The excursion to Amsterdam definitely comes to mind when talking about school trips here, and I think everyone will agree with me when I say that that was the most fun one. On top of all of this, all the teachers did an amazing job making us feel supported in our learning and anything we did (special thanks to Ms Mehta for all the time she spent with me helping me fix my personal statement!). I always felt like everyone genuinely cared how I was getting on and the small class sizes also made it so that I could get even more personalised feedback from my teachers, which I think is pretty unique to this 6th form. Even though my time at HHS was abruptly cut short, I won’t forget this part of my life and all the great people I met there anytime soon. I hope everyone’s doing well, and I'll miss you all. Take care and stay safe! :)'
